Elachista adscitella
Species account (old)
This species is very similar in markings to E. megerlella [now known as Elachista obliquella]. The only difference between the two (apart from genitalia), is that in revinctella the neck tufts are pure white whereas in megerlella they are grey with some admixture of white hairs. Ignoring Hobson's records as unreliable, we have found this species the most common of the group in vc 66, where it is widespread and abundant in those localities where it has appeared. [...]
