Species account (old)
Sang found this moth at Wolsingham and Eggleston, Backhouse knew of it Shotley Bridge and Gardner took it in Upper Teesdale, but in no instance did they find it in numbers. TCD has seen it from four localities in vc 66, on Waldridge Fell in 1956, several times from the Castle Eden traps in 1989, Chopwell in 1990, and most surprisingly flying about in his backyard at Chester-le-Street at 11 a.m. on 24-7-1988 in brilliant sunshine.
