Acompsia cinerella
Species account (old)
Known to most of the old collectors of the 19th century so that it was judged a fairly common moth. We have found it widespread and very common, sometimes abundant locally, in vc 66 [...] The larva feeds on moss, mainly those on tree trunks (but not always so).
