Species account (old)
This is a rare and uncommon species everywhere and about which Robson was doubtful of Sang's records. It was, however, found by Gardner, feeding on Chenopodium and Atriplex. These were confirmed by Bankes. It was again found in the same locality in September 1925 by J. W. H. H., and more recently at Shildon (vc 66) on 23-7-89 in David Kipling's Rothamsted trap (det. E. Bradford). More recently single specimens were taken in the Chester-le-Street trap on 28-5 and 14-6-1992 (TCD).
