Acleris hyemana
Species account (old)
This is a species of the high heather moors to the west of vc 66 [...] TCD notes a particular preference for grouse moors where periodic burning is the normal method of management. It can be met with on mild days right through the winter. Surprising records from lower elevations (e.g. castle Eden Dene, 20-12-1987, vc 66 [...]) may be due to windblown strays.
