Endothenia marginana
Species account (old)
This is a very local species, the larva feeding on Betony and other herbaceous plants in damp sites by woodland. It was known to Sang from Darlington and Backhouse at Shull. In recent times, a specimen was encountered in Lintzford Wood (vc 66) in 1977. More recently a run of this species has occurred in the Hamsterley Rothamsted trap starting on 14-6-1992 (TCD) vc 66, so far taking 5 specimens.
