Species account (old)
A mainly southerly species, becoming distinctly local in the north, though Sang found it near Croft, south of Darlington, Gardner found it in Hesleden Dene and at Benridge Reservoir nearby [...]. In vc 66 it is now rather uncommon, having been bred from gorse on Waldridge Fell (TCD 1968) and beaten from the same plant in the same locality in 1990 and 1991, and taken on the wing in Millbank Woods, Derwent Valley (Sheppard & Eyre, May 1977).
