Robson noted this species from Houghall Wood at Durham, where Backhouse had recorded it [...]. The larva feeds on lichens, chiefly Parmelia sp., which are not common in vc 66 [...] nowadays, following industrial pollution, though they do occur principally on coastal rocks and in the west of the [county]. We have no modern records [...].
