Species account (old)
[...] This species is now quite widely distributed, and well known from a number of areas. [...] In Durham there are numerous records from many sites in the Derwent valley, lower Wear valley and Teesdale, as well as Castle Eden and Hawthorn Denes near the coast. In spite of the widespread distribution, it is never common, however, and one seldom sees more than one or two specimens per annum in the traps or as larvae when beating sallows.
