Bulrush Wainscot
Nonagria typhae

Species account (old)
[...] In Durham the majority of records for this moth were noted by J. W. H. Harrison: his list is Birtley 1917, Butterby Marsh 1930, Hebburn Ponds 1941, Aycliffe Quarry (a dead female in a pool), the old pit ponds at Tanfield (now completely drained and filled in) and Joe's Pond at Rainton. Most of these records were of larvae and in fact TCD has never seen an imago taken in the county.
