Species account (old)
This is very rare and local on the eastern side of the Pennines. Robson gave only Darlington (John Sang) [...] It would appear that the Durham magnesian limestone quarries should produce this insect but no-one has found it yet. The Brit. Ent. & Nat. Hist. Soc. Guide advises tapping the thyme plants growing on quarry faces over a small biscuit-tin tray whilst perched precariously on the cliff-face, then examining the 'catch' when on terra firma once more!
