Species account (old)
Uncommon according to Robson this is now a very common species in vc 66, which can be obtained in the pupal stage by splitting stems of Oenanthe crocata in August. The pupae accumulate at the nodes and can be used to produce moths in September and October. Practically every patch of Oenanthe will reward examination. The moths are not only on the wing in September and October but also in April and May the following year after hibernation. Widespread and common in vc 66. [...]
