Species account (old)
Not very plentiful' in Robson's time [...] Although several of Robson's contemporaries had met with and recorded this moth in Durham, he never found it himself. There has been only one further record for the county: J. W. H. Harrison took it at Ebchester in 1934. This is difficult to understand as it is quite common on the North Yorkshire moors where a good growth of Lotus corniculatus thrives in limestone country. There are several habitats like this in the old Magnesian Limestone quarries of Durham, where we think that it ought to occur, if worked over diligently.
