Species account (old)
This species is noted by Robson as found around Darlington by Sang and in Hesleden Dene by Gardner for vc 66 [...] although Robson thought it should be more widespread than the records would imply. In recent times TCD has found it in the Chester-le-Street trap at regular intervals since 1970, in the Hamsterley trap during every year from 1985 to 1988, [and in the] Chopwell trap 28-6-89. Larval spinnings on Salix atrocinerea were collected on Waldridge Fell 28-8-88 and produced several moths indoors on 6-4-89 to 12-4-89. [...]
