Species account (old)
Robson found this moth only on the coast [...] Although coastal limestone cliffs and grassy banks by the sea are still its favoured habitat, it has also been found in areas of sheltered limestone grassland away from the coast. It was taken by J. W. H. Harrison in Bishop Middleham quarry where it still thrives, at Thrislington plantation, and Wingate quarry. Sheppard has also found it in Wingate quarry, N. Jackson recently found it again in Bishop Middleham quarry and D. Kipling has had it at Shildon. [...]
