Not a common species [...] but widely distributed [...]'. This is what Robson wrote at the turn of the century. [...] In Durham there are not [...] many recent records. Ian Findlay had it at Middleton-in-Teesdale on 23 August 1976 and specimens turn up in the Hamsterley Forest trap each year.
