Marsh Pug
Eupithecia pygmaeata
Species account (old)
Robson could give no firm record for this species although he included it in the Catalogue, chiefly because he was sure that it must occur in the north east [...] T.A. Lofthouse took it regularly in Cowpen Marshes and there are notices for it in the Vasculum for 1912 and 1915. He also found it near Forest-in-Teesdale in 1921. [...] We now have a number of widely scattered records for Durham (vc 66) [...] Obviously it is somewhat rare in the North-East.
