Species account (old)
This still remains a very rare insect in our [county] as it was in Robson's time. It was known around Darlington by John Sang and Robson with his friend John Gardner took odd specimens around Hartlepool, the last occurring in 1893.[...] Since then only a single further record has been made in Durham, that of J. R. Johnson and J. W. H. Harrison at Birtley where they found larvae on bladder campion in 1933. [...]
