Small Yellow Wave
Hydrelia flammeolaria
Species account (old)
This is another rare and very local species. Following the records Robson quotes, it was 20 years before J. W. H. Harrison reported it from Chopwell Wood [...] In recent years Sheppard and Eyre took it in Thornley Wood [...] and Horsleyhope Ravine in the 1970's; M. Mann had a single individual in Waldridge Wood in 1985 [...] These are our only records and since it is not a species that is easily missed we must agree with Robson that it is 'exceedingly local'.
