Species account (new)

A major expansion of this species into northern England brought Durham its first record on the 5th June 2003 at the Castle Eden Dene Rothamsted trap. It remains local in the County, usually found in wooded habitats. There is only one generation (May and June), and it adults come to light. The larvae feed on Hawthorn and Blackthorn.
