Species account (old)
A species which is widely distributed [...] but for which we have not received very many records. [...] TCD has found it common enough year after year at Chester-le-Street (and places round the town like Waldridge Fell) and Durham. R. Henderson found it at Hookergate and D. Kipling took it at Shildon on 30 July 1983. Other traps that have captured it [...include] Stockton in south Durham. Perhaps this lack of information about it is, as Robson states, because the moth is a sluggish creature that does not fly much.
