Species account (old)
Robson said it was common but Gardner found it scarce (where it occurred) on species of Hypericum. This species flies low over its foodplant in the evening but rarely comes to light. Probably more widespread than our records show because of this characteristic. In vc 66 a number of sites have been recorded always by breeding from larvae collected on leaves of Hypericum perforatum or H. pulchrum. [...]
