Trifurcula eurema
Species account (old)
Sang [recorded Trifurcula immundella] for sites around Darlington (vc 66), but as E. R. Bankes pointed out, the two species were not separated until 1899. He adds "I possess a lengthy series, bred, and perhaps partly taken by him (Sang), of his supposed cryptella, unfortunately without data, and although the majority are eurema, there are some cryptella mixed with them". Because of these doubts and lack of labelling, it is necessary to reject all the old [...] Durham records. There remains only one recent record. L. eurema was taken in the Chester-le-Street Rothamsted trap on 18-6-89 (TCD).
