Clouded-bordered Brindle
Apamea crenata
Species account (old)
Common and widely distributed in Robson's time, it remains so today [...] In Durham [...] the moth [is] quite common right up to Langdon Beck in Upper Teesdale. The incidence of ab. combusta differs slightly, in that Durham specimens are predominantly of this form especially from the eastern part: at Chester-Ie-Street for example the proportions are about 80% combusta to 20% type. The moth flies from the first week in June throughout July.
