Species account (old)
Robson recorded this species as 'Much rarer than the last' [Conistra vaccinii] [...] There are records of single specimens from Lamesley and Birtley in the north of Durham throughout central areas to Darlington and Stockton in the south, It is also found in the Derwent valley at Longclose Wood, Hamsterley Colliery, and F. Stubbs took it at Crook, at the eastern end of Weardale. These records show a fairly widespread distribution except for the coast and the high ground to the west.
