Brindled Ochre
Dasypolia templi
Species account (old)
Robson notes 'Probably much commoner and more widely distributed than is generally supposed' - and this is still probably fair comment. [...] In Durham it is only now known from Upper Teesdale, in which area generally it was recorded in 1927 by J. P. Robson, while J. E. Nowers noted it at Darlington in 1933. More recently I. Findley has found it regularly at all the Upper Teesdale collecting sites from Middleton-in-Teesdale to Langdon Beck. It flies from mid-September through October and often into November, in mild seasons.
