Species account (old)
Robson regarded this species as 'Only a chance visitor to our [county]' [...] Robson and Gardner took several in Durham [...] D. A. Sheppard took two in Castle Eden Dene during his surveys there between 1972 and 1975 [...] It is surprising that a species otherwise generally (if thinly) distributed in mainland Britain and our surrounding counties in particular should be so scarce, and apparently dependent on immigration to maintain its stocks [...].
