[...] In Durham the moth is [...] rare, and only found at a very few sites. M. Mann has taken it at Witton Gilbert on more than one occasion, F. Stubbs had it at Crook quite regularly between 1965 and 1977, D. Kipling took it at Shildon in 1983 and 1984, and it appeared once in the Stockton trap on 13 July 1965. It still occurs at Hartlepool, where J. K. Williams recorded it as frequent between 29 July and 17 August 1977.
