Species account (old)
[...] In Durham the species is [...] widespread, and quite common away from the coast right up to Langdon Beck, Forest-in-Teesdale, where it occurs in the Rothamsted trap operated by I. Findlay. It is recorded from Castle Eden Dene, but not at the seaward end (D. A. Sheppard). The moth flies from late March to mid-May, and frequently visits Sallow blossom.
