Species account (old)
[...] by 1962 F. W. Gardner could only record it just over the Durham border at Edmundbyers. [...] Apart from Robson's early record of one taken by J. Gardner at Blackhall Rocks 'in bright sunlight in July', and the record by F. W. Gardner at Edmundbyers noted above, it has been taken more recently in the Middleton-in-Teesdale trap by I.Findlay, and it comes to the Hamsterley Forest trap quite regularly since it was set up in 1981. Otherwise this essentially westerly species is still rare in the county, but it would appear to be advancing south-eastwards [...].
