Species account (old)
[...] This moth is [...] rather scarce in Durham. However it has been recorded from a wide spread of sites, though never other than singly. It was reported from the Derwent and Team valleys in 1918 and 1922 respectively, where J. W. H. Harrison beat the larvae from Lime trees. J. P. Robson had it in Upper Teesdale in 1914 and at Barnard Castle in 1929. In 1975 it was taken in Upper Teesdale by TCD, at Sacriston by M.Mann and in Castle Eden Dene by D. A. Sheppard. The first one to arrive in the Chester-lb-Street trap did so in 1983, after 31 years of continuous trapping!
