Pink-barred Sallow
Xanthia togata
Species account (old)
Widespread and common from coastal sand dunes (where the larvae feed on Sallows in the dune slacks) to the highest elevations that Sallows reach on the moors of [...] Durham (well over 300m.). Taken in all the Rothamsted and other long-term trapping sites. The species flies during September and October in lowland areas, but is often on the wing by the middle of August at elevation.
