Species account (old)
A widespread and generally common to locally very common species, occurring at all the permanent trapping sites, and evidently rather more plentiful than in Robson's time, when it was 'not by any means an abundant species'... 'though generally distributed' [...] in Durham it occurs from the coastline to high on the moors as at Langdon Beck, Forest-in-Teesdale, and Low Ghyll, Alston. It is on the wing from the end of the first week in July (possibly a few days later at altitude) to the end of August.
