Species account (old)
Generally widespread and common, as it was in Robson's day [...] In Durham it is known from most of the central and eastern areas, but is taken only rarely in the west. The larvae are easy to find and quite common on most of the rough-leaved sallows. It has not yet appeared in the Rothamsted traps in Upper Teesdale, Weardale or Hamsterley Forest.
