Species account (old)
Probably the commonest species of the genus as it was in Robson's time, but since it does not show any great attraction for light, we can give only a few records made by collecting in daylight at raspberry flowers. It may be that numbers have decreased somewhat because of the increasing use of insecticides in gardens. Where seen in vc 66 it is usually plentiful as in TCD's garden where it causes significant damage to the fruit.
