Homoeosoma sinuella
Species account (old)
This species, the larva of which feeds on Plantago lanceolata and probably other Plantago species, was not known to Robson [...] This is not surprising as Goater in "British Pyralid moths" gives Norfolk as its most Northerly station. It was unexpected, therefore, to find a specimen in the Castle Eden Dene Rothampstead Trap on 28-7-1991, (det. E. Bradford). This is much further north than any other record, but where found both habitat and foodplant appear to be right for its presence.
