Species account (old)
Robson supposed this to be of western occurrence, having only [...] Sang's Barnard Castle and Stanhope, and Bower High Force all in the west of Durham. This western tendency is still fair comment, limiting it to a great extent to the higher and wetter areas by the natural range of foodplant, rowan, although it is found rather further east [...] Within these limitations, however, it is of quite regular occurrence [...].
