Stigmella hemargyrella

Species account (old)
The early collectors were unclear as to the distinction between this species and S. tityrella Stt. (q.v.) so that early status comments could refer to either. The present species is well distributed throughout [...] Durham [...] The mines of these two beech-feeding species are easily separable, but the present one is either more attracted to light or the more abundant of the two as it is the Stigmella most frequently found in the Rothamsted traps.
