Species account (old)
There is little doubt that Robson's remarks about C. caespititiella also included records of C. alticolella as the two species had not been separated in his day. C. alticolella is an abundant species, the caterpillar feeding on various species of Juncus but mainly on Juncus squarrosus and Juncus inflexus. On J. squarrosus it has been found high up on the western hills in vc 66 as well as on lowland heaths like Waldridge Fell. [...]
