This is a very local species, known to be attached to Petasites in Robson's time yet nevertheless difficult to find, and he could quote few sites, noting that Gardner searched for it for three years at Greatham before locating it [...] Nowadays it is known to be common enough and widespread along streams and rivers in vc 66, where the foodplant grows [...].
