Species account (old)
Though known to Sang [...] this has never been a common species in our [county] but it has turned up in a few places in the north of vc 66 [...] The larvae feed on acorns and chestnuts, sufficiently plentiful to support a much larger population of the moth, which is known well into Scotland.
