Ochreous Pug
Eupithecia indigata
Species account (old)
A widely distributed species in pine woods, where the larva feeds mainly on Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris). It is never in very large numbers but it comes readily to light where several were taken in the Hamsterley Forest trap during May and June 1985. [...] J. R. Johnson and J. W. H. Harrison together recorded it from Dryderdale, Ebchester, Chopwell Woods [...] in the l930's. [...] we feel that it has decreased somewhat in the last 20 years.
