Species account (old)
Though Robson had few records for this moth, many have been added over the intervening years. It appears so early, in January and February each year, that workers often miss it, especially when the weather is unsuitable. With the arrival of light traps that can be left all night without supervision and later examined at a more comfortable time, the number of sites for it has rapidly increased, It is now known to be widespread [...] and quite plentiful.
