Species account (old)
Robson believed this to be 'Certainly a scarce species' [...] This species is very scarce in Durham, however, where there is a distinct shortage of dune habitats. TCD has taken specimens intermittently in the Chester-le-Street trap for about 20 years now, but until recently this was the only site. In 1983 M. E, Blunt took it at light at Oakerside Dene Lodge, Peterlee and again in 1984. These are the only Durham records. The moth usually flies from the end of August to early October [...].
