Olive
Ipimorpha subtusa

Species account (old)
Nearing the northern limits of its range, this is, and always has been, a decidedly scarce species in the north-east. [...] In Durham J. W. H. Harrison provided the first record of the post-Robson period - from Birtley and Urpeth Bottoms (during a field outing of the WalIis Club) in 1931. More recently it was found in the Hamsterley Forest trap on 20 August 1984, and W. Wynn recorded it from Lumley in 1-2 August 1982. At Chester-le-Street it has been taken in TCD's trap every year since 1951 when it was first taken by torchlight.
