Dryobotodes eremita
Species account (old)
[...] In Durham, in Robson's time, it was given as 'common in Teesdale', and this was still the case later when it was found by J. P. Robson of Barnard Castle. J. R. Johnson reported it from the Team valley and Derwent valley in 1930, and more recently D. A. Shappard and M. Eyre found it at Lofthouse Wood in the latter district in September 1977. Altogether a rather local species which appears to be scarce (and possibly becoming increasingly so) along the north-east coast in general.
