Rhopobota naevana
Species account (old)
Known from both moorland heath (feeding on bilberry) and lowland woodland and gardens (feeding on llex and members of the Rosaceae) and consequently frequently recorded as two species by the early collectors, it was recognised as widespread and locally common then as it is today [...] A species that could well be under recorded in its upland habitats, as it tends to occur in localised concentrations. TCD has recently found the larvae to be responsible for completely defoliating bilberry on a Durham grouse moor (cf. 1074 Olethreutes palustrana).
