Species account (old)
Robson could only give a few old records from the 1950's[...]. Later J. E. Nowers reported it in numbers in a field at Ketton Hall near Darlington in 1935, J. P. Robson found two specimens near Barnard Castle in 1946 and J. K. Morton saw specimens near Billingham Beck in 1949. There is also a record from J. W. H. Harrison from a railway bank near Birtley reported in the Vasculum of 1951 which probably was for some time earlier. TCD saw it along the beck which runs around the base of the south side of Sherburn Hill, during a N.N.U. field meeting, 24-6-1950. More recently still a flourishing colony has been found along the Baydale Beck, first reported in June 1989. [...]
