Blastobasis lacticolella

Species account (old)
This is possibly another naturalised species which has been known for considerably longer than B. lignea. It did not spread markedly from around the ports until recently, when it seems to have literally burst forth [...] it is widespread in vc 66, feeding on various items of organic detritus. It is double brooded with a fairly protracted period of emergence and although it has been taken in small numbers during June and July it is mainly an August/September species with us.
