Species account (old)
Generally distributed . . .' but not ' . . . anywhere abundant' at the end of last century, it had evidently increased by the 1920's [...] It has maintained that status ever since, being taken in all the Durham traps, and given in all the lists [...] The moth flies from the third week in June to the end of August, the flight period being up to a fortnight shorter at altitude.
